Norte Wallet Intelligence ("Norte", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
What We Collect
- Account data: email address, authentication provider, account preferences.
- Wallet data you choose to add: card names, insurance policies, perk usage. We do not collect or store credit card numbers, bank credentials, or transaction history. Credits and spending you record are self-reported.
- Usage data: which screens and features you use, linked to your account, to improve Norte.
- Documents you upload: benefit guide PDFs you choose to upload for AI parsing. Stored securely and tied only to your account.
How We Use It
- To provide the service: showing your benefits, recommendations, and coverage analysis.
- To improve Norte: usage data and product research.
- To communicate with you: transactional emails and (with consent) product updates.
AI Processing
When you upload a benefit guide PDF or use the Norte Assistant, content is processed by AI providers (Anthropic and OpenAI) under data-processing agreements. Your inputs are not used to train external models.
Forwarded Emails
- You get a personal Norte address. When you forward an email to it, we receive it through Brevo, our email provider.
- Anthropic's Claude reads the email and its attachments to create a plan: dates, places, cost, and the card named in the email if it is in your wallet.
- We keep the plan, a PDF copy of the email, and its PDF, JPG and PNG attachments, filed in your Documents. We keep nothing else from the email, and never store card numbers.
- If we can't read an email, or you have reached your forwarding limit, nothing from it is kept.
- We record the date and result of each forward to count your limit.
- Forwarded emails are private to your account. You can delete them from Documents at any time, and they are deleted with your account.
App Store Refunds
If you request a refund for an App Store purchase, we may share information about your usage of Norte with Apple, such as how much of your subscription period you have used, to help Apple decide the request.
Services That Process Your Data
Supabase (hosting and storage), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI features), Brevo (email and forwarded emails), Stripe and Apple (payments), RevenueCat (subscriptions), OneSignal (push notifications), AppsFlyer (which campaigns bring app installs), Google and Meta (website analytics and ad measurement).
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
- Access, correct, or delete your data at any time from account settings.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Opt out of marketing emails.
- Request deletion: contact privacy@norteapp.io.
Data Security
Encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Hosted on Supabase. Access is restricted by row-level security tied to your authenticated account.
Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in.
On our website, visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland and Brazil are asked before we turn on analytics or advertising cookies. Elsewhere, both are on by default, and off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
Advertising cookies from Google and Meta measure which of our ads bring people to Norte.
In the iPhone app, advertising cookies are always off. iPhone users in the EU are asked before we collect usage data; elsewhere it is on by default.
How Long We Keep Data
- We keep your account data while your account is open.
- Usage data is kept for 25 months, then deleted.
- When you delete your account, we delete your data, including documents and forwarded emails, within 30 days.
